Vasasensor AB is a spin-off from Imego and the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. Vasasensor is now developing a sensor system for process optimization in paper mills. Vasasensor offers a wireless sensor system for shoe presses that monitors the pressure profile in paper machine press nips. The sensor system provides paper manufacturers with valuable information and new variables in real time that enable the production process to be optimized. The sensor system consists of small passive sensor units integrated intp the paper machine clothing. The signals from the sensor units are transferred wirelessly to a receiver unit. After data acquisition and signal processing, the pressure profile is presented on monitors in the control room.
