Vasasensor AB is a spin-off from Imego and Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. Vasasensor is now developing a sensor system for process optimization in paper mills. Vasasensor offers a wireless sensor system for shoe press that monitors the pressure profile in paper machine press nips. The sensor system provides paper manufacturers with valuable information and new variables in real time, enabling optimization of the production process. The sensor system consists of small passive sensor units integrated in the paper machine clothing. The signals from the sensor units are transferred wirelessly to a receiver unit. After data acquisition and signal processing the pressure profile is presented on monitors in the control room. The information provides valuable input for adjusting the press nips thus allowing increased production. www.vasasensor.com
