The vision of MEMS based sensor systems lies in their ability to sense, think, act and communicate through the integration of electronics and sensors. Technological excellence in this area results in smaller components making systems faster, cheaper, more reliable and capable of incorporating more complex functions.

Qualified expertise in this field allows us to offer comprehensive knowledge of optical measurement systems and experience of optical detectors and filters.

In this field, we develop sensor systems for applications in medical diagnostics, health care, biotechnological process industry as well as for food quality monitoring and environmental surveillance. Some projects are conducted together with industrial partners while others, the more research oriented projects, have been initiated in-house. The latter allow Imego to keep the competitive edge within these areas on a high international level and have paved the way for development of a substantial patent portfolio.

The Electromagnetic Sensor unit is working with sensor systems that are related to different magnetic detection techniques. We develop sensor systems together with both large and small companies. We also help customers related to magnetic analysis and magnetic characterization.
With magnetic sensor systems we can detect for instance positions and motions of different objects, moisture and viscosity and different crystallization processes.

The task of the Imego signal processing group is to extract useful information from sensor signals and to control the sensors so that they operate optimally. Our experience is key for achieving state-of-the art sensor performance.
 

Our expertise lies in creating analytical and FE based models of micro sensors to be simulated together with system electronics and signal processing to resolve design issues and costly hardware tests at an early stage of system development.

Comprehensive experience in this area means we can offer knowledge within the systemisation, design and verification of discrete and integrated analogous and digital electronics including low level VHDL programming and other near hardware programming.
