The motion tracking instrument IMT30 is built to track movements with extreme requirements on dynamics and resolution in order to meet the most demanding challenges.
The motion tracker IMT30 contains sensors based on micromechanics resulting in good robustness, reduced size and low production costs.
The motion tracker IMT30 is an inertial measurement unit (IMU). The instrument is a prototype system that can be used to evaluate IMEGO's inertial measurement unit (IMU )platform. After the evaluation, the system can be adjusted to best fit your requirements with regard to size and sensor performance. IMEGO can also manufacture the final system if so desired.
The core in the IMT30 motion tracking is IMEGO's micromechanical gyro platform IBG20 with world-class performance. Besides angular velocity sensors, the IMT30 contains sensors to measure acceleration and magnetic field in order to track all types of movement.
IMEGO has navigation software based on Kalman filter algorithms that can be coupled to the motion tracker IMT30 to translate sensor signals to position, speed or attitude, for example. Such systems are usually called INS (inertial navigation systems) and often produce output data in the form of the relative position and angle from the starting point for navigation.
For the IMT30 motion tracking, the software post processes data on a PC but the system can be customized for navigation in real-time. The software is flexible and can be adjusted to use knowledge about the motion or additional information from additional sensors to decrease error development for navigation.
