Digivent is a sensor system designed at Imego containing in house low cost silicon flow sensors and standard pressure sensors enabling a disposable product for medical applications.
Digivent is a medical chest drainage system for treatment in the healing process after surgery in the chest. Digivent controls the negative pressure in the chest needed to make the lungs expand. A flow sensor measures the leakage from the chest and hence indicate when the drainage can safely be removed. This both increase patient safety and reduce hospital costs.
Silicon flow sensors is an affordable way to make accurate flow measurement with a high dynamic range.
