Abstract
The present invention relates to a carrier arrangement (10) for carrying optical components and connecting optical signals. This carrier arrangement consists of a substrate (11) with at least one hole (12) which hasan optically conducting filing (13) for connecting said optical signals. The optically filling (13) consists of at least two different light-conducting layers (131, 132) in the longitudinal direction of the hole.

We suggest an arrangement for guiding optical signals from one side of a carrier to the other side through a hole in a substrate. The hole is an optical waveguide with a core (132) and cladding (131) material. The light sources or detectors can be mounted on the back of a substrate; the optical signal is guided to the front.
