Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and device for detecting changes of a magnetic response of at least one magnetic particle in a carrier fluid. The method usesmeasures the characteristic rotation time of the magnetic particle by the Brownian relaxation in the carrier fluid under the influence of an external pulsed excitation magnetic field. Based on this influence, it measures the hydrodynamic volume of a particle or a change in a hydrodynamic volume of the particle change by detecting the change of magnetization of the particle over time by monitoring the change of an output signal in a detection coil.
Development at IMEGO
This patent is in addition to patents 1421382; 4;184,268; 0102926-3; 6,825,655. In this patent, we focus more on the DynoMag® instrument. We are very activitly developing the DynoMag® system (both hardware and software). We now have an integrated system that we have sold in Germany and the USA. We are also developing AC susceptomery instruments for higher excitation frequencies in an EU project (Nano3T, 08-11) and are now able to measure dynamic magnetic properties from a few Hz up to 3 MHz.
