Magnetic analysis
In many electronic systems, magnetic materials are key components. In order to fully optimize a sensor system using magnetic materials, such as different kinds of magnetic nanoparticles, soft or hard magnetic materials are of crucial importance to understand fully the magnetic properties of the material in the sensor system. The most straightforward way to gain this knowledgeis to characterize the material magnetically. When analyzing the results, one needs detailed knowledge of the magnetic properties of the material.
At our electromagnetic lab, we can perform both static and dynamic magnetic characterization of all sorts of magnetic materials both for external customers as well for our own magnetic sensor systems. We have also several years of experience with magnetic materials, magnetic properties and magnetic characterization. We can help external customers to choose the right magnetic-particle system or the magnetic material in their applications as well as help in the magnetic characterization. We can also give courses on general magnetism, magnetic materials, and magnetic particles.
We can offer the following characterization, analysis and consultant work:
- Static magnetic measurements using vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM)
- Dynamic magnetic measurements using AC susceptometry (DynoMag and DynoMag HF)
- Particle-size measurements using photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS)
- Particle-surface-charge measurement by detecting the Z-potential
- General magnetic analysis and FEM simulation (COMSOL and ANSYS)
- Magnetic consultancy
- Lectures on general magnetism, magnetic particles etc.
