Research & Development

Imego is an independent government-owned research institute with a commercial focus that conducts applied research; we are participating in a number of national and international research programs. The result of our research is packaged into development platform that consist of knowledge, IPR and proven concepts in the form of functional prototypes. An Imego development platform constitutes an excellent starting point for rapid industrialization of new applications based on proven science and concepts.

Our development platforms enable us to offer the industry efficient and rapid prototyping of sensors, sensor systems, and sensor applications. Unique sensor knowledge is combined with a wide spectrum of engineering skills such as simulation, signal processing, electronics and industrial design for the benefit of our customers.

The Imego model for transforming research to products and technology for the market is shown below.

We pave the path between world-class research and industrialization

Inertial Motion Sensors

Services provided by Imego range from “simple” measurement assignments to the design and development of MEMS sensor components and development of complete Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) including both hardware and software.

Bio & Chemical Sensors

Over the years, Imego has built up expertise in chemistry, molecular biology, physics and optics/fluorescence and has developed a number of technology platforms that can be used for a variety of biological and chemical sensor systems.

Electromagnetic Sensors & Systems

We have a solid working experience with many types of electric and magnetic measurement techniques. Together with customers from both large and small companies, we develop sensor systems and assist in magnetic analysis and characterization.

Wireless sensors & network

Imego develops wireless sensor systems tailored tor your application by using our unique knowledge of sensors, sensor electronics and data analysis. We have two areas of activity in this field: low-cost passive wireless sensors and wireless sensor networks.
