Fields of R&D

Using our wide knowledge of physical, bio- and chemical sensors and sensor-system integration, we develop wireless sensors and network systems tailored for the customer’s application. Wireless network technology, such as ZigBee and ANT, is integrated with low-power sensors and sensor electronics. Complete systems are developed, but our focus and core competence are sensors, sensor interface electronics and data analysis.

We pave the path between world-class research and industrialization

RFID Sensors

Products become smarter by extending radio frequency identification (RFID) tags to sensing applications. We develop sensors that use no power when the tag is not in communication with the reader and even then consume very little energy.

Emergency Support System (ESS)

ESS is EU-FP7-SEC 2007 IP project which develops independent, portable and quickly deployable intelligence and control system. It incorporates real-time data collection technologies enabling improved management, decision support under major crisis events such as terror attacks, industrial accidents, natural disasters etc.

Imego contributes with field sensors systems for local weather (air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction and intensity), chemical sensors for detection in both air and water media, and low power wireless sensor network.

Total Airport Security System (TASS)

TASS is EU-FP7-SEC 2009 IP project aiming at research and development of a surveillance system providing real-time accurate situational awareness of an airport's facilities, surroundings, people, vehicles, cargo, and airplanes.

Imego’s contribution to TASS project focuses on integration of low power sensors systems for indoor air flow and temperature, motion detection, chemical gas sensors and water contamination detection into the TASS wireless sensing platform.

Ocean Search

Ocean Search is a unique project that links social media, creative visualization and advanced sensor technology. Ocean Search will explore new ways to observe the oceans, where stories and tools to collect climate data will be made available to sailors and the public, thus creating commitment, participation and awareness. In the project, Imego builds a kit of sensors together with Journeyman partner that measure different values of water quality (carbohydrates, pH, conductivity, temperature, bio-fouling). Journeyman is the first boat in the Ocean Search project.

Wireless Sensors & Network

Wireless sensor networks will have a major impact on how and where sensors will be utilized.
